JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Jacksonville Beach Police officers on Saturday seized 15 packages of fentanyl pills, 4.6 kilograms, after a traffic stop and a subject is in custody.
While on routine patrol, a JBPD officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired license plate, according to a press release. The vehicle was towed due to several violations and being driven illegally.
After towing the vehicle, officers located leading investigators to find 15 packages believed to contain fentanyl pills with a street value of $750,000, the release said.
JBPD has not named the person detained.
