Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responds to man shot on the Northside near Main Street

The man was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries after a shooting at the 7200 block of Northland Street.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police responded to a man shot in his lower extremities Friday night on the Northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office press release.

At approximately 11:45 p.m., police found a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound  the 7200 block of Northland Street, in the area of 63rd and Main streets.

He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The release said it's early in the investigation and we are working through interviews, video surveillance and physical evidence to identify the suspect.
