Jacksonville police need help identifying car that hit woman in wheelchair

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for help identifying the vehicle that hit a woman in a wheelchair on Atlantic on August 31.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help identifying the driver who hit a woman in a wheelchair on Atlantic Boulevard on August 31. 

The victim was crossing the street in the 8200 block of Atlantic in the early morning when she was hit. The driver fled the scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

JSO is asking for help finding the vehicle, which they believe is a black Toyota sedan.
