JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a reported shooting on the Northside, Wednesday morning. A man in his 20s was shot multiple times in the right side of his chest and was taken to the hospital, police said.
The shooting happened around 4 a.m. in the 500 block of Starratt Road.
When police arrived to the scene, they couldn't find the victim but found him nearby.
A suspect has been identified but police are not sure of their relationship to the victim.
Police found broken glass at the scene, which may or may not be related to the crime. It is unclear if the victim may have been inside of a car.
Police believe the shooting could have been a culmination of a dispute.
