Jacksonville police continues search for suspects in January murder investigation

At least four people were involved in an incident that started as a home invasion and robbery and ended in the murder of a 45-year-old Jacksonville man.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is continuing to search for the people involved in a January home invasion and robbery that ended in the murder of a 45-year-old Jacksonville man.

Officers responded to a home in the 8000 block of Ivymill Court on Jan. 6 in reference to a person shot.

Police discovered the victim identified as Gary Mills, 45, in critical condition inside the residence.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded and took Mills to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators determined at least four people were involved in an incident, which police are now describing as a home invasion and robbery that led to the fatal shooting of Mills.

Surveillance video captured two suspects and a vehicle suspected to be involved in the crime. 

Police are asking for the community's help in identifying the people captured on video surveillance.
