Jacksonville police looking for man accused of stealing Jeep from car dealership

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is asking for the community to assist in the search of a man accused of stealing a white Jeep Compass off the lot of a car dealership in Jacksonville.

On Monday, a news release First Coast News obtained from JSO on Thursday, says the man entered in the parking lot of the dealership, approached the unlocked Jeep, and then drove away in it in an unknown direction.

The Jeep remains "outstanding at this time," the release states.

Anyone having any information related to this incident or on the unidentified man, is asked to contact JSO at 904-630-0500 or to remain anonymous and be eligible for a possible reward of up to $3,000, call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
