The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced an arrest Thursday in a double-homicide that happened on Sept. 18.
On the night of the crime, at 9:30 p.m., JSO was called to a scene in the 5500 block of Harrold Avenue after a caller reported a shooting. They discovered a car that was on fire.
Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. They found two victims dead inside the vehicle.
An investigation led police to a suspect. Trayvon Tyrese Ferguson, 24, has been arrested in the case.
He is facing charges of murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
