Ahead of another holiday, Jacksonville Beach police release update on St. Patrick's Day shootings

The Jacksonville Beach Police Department is seeking potential warrants in two shooting investigations which now have two suspects identified.

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — The Jacksonville Beach Police Department said it identified two suspects in two separate shootings that left three people hurt on St. Patrick's Day.

The cases have been presented to the State Attorney's Office to get potential warrants for the suspects, who have not been publically named by investigators, according to a JBPD newsletter.

Police responded to three separate shootings in Jacksonville Beach on St. Patrick's Day, including one that killed a 21-year-old man. Investigators are continuing to work on potential leads in that case.

"The homicide investigation is still very active, and leads are being worked each day," police said.
