JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Two people are facing charges for stealing items and attempting to sell them on Facebook Marketplace, according to the Jacksonville Beach Police Department.

James Rauhofer, 26, and Caitlin Rice, 43, were arrested Saturday after police said they were attempting to meet somewhere to sell the stolen property.

Police said investigators went "back-and-forth" with the suspects and set up a place to meet using Facebook Marketplace.

Rauhofer and Rice were using their personal accounts to sell the items, police said. Both were arrested without incident.

Rice faces a felony charge of dealing in stolen property by use of the internet, jail records show.

Police said Rauhofer had an outstanding warrant for four counts of grand theft at the time of his arrest Saturday, and he faces an additional charge of dealing in stolen property by use of the internet.
