Gunshot victim with non life-threatening injuries dropped off hospital Tuesday night

Police believe the shooting where a man sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest may have occurred on Post Street.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after he was dropped off at a hospital Tuesday night.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, officers responded and located a male in his mid 40s at about 11 p.m. Tuesday who sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest.

However, the circumstances and exact location of the crime scene are unknown, police said, though preliminary information suggested the shooting may have happened in the area of Post Street on the Westside.
