TAMPA, Fla. — A man wanted on a murder charge in Georgia was found Thursday along I-4 in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
In an arrest report, a trooper found the suspect, Edward Hunt III on I-4 near mile marker 9. The trooper stopped to check on Hunt before identifying him through his driver's license, learning that he had a warrant for murder in Georgia.
Hunt was reportedly detained until the warrant was confirmed around 10 a.m. Thursday, according to the report.
The man was reportedly taken to Orient Road Jail in Tampa without incident, troopers said.
