JESUP, Ga. — An eleven year old charged in connection to the death of eight-year-old Noah Bush is set to be sentenced in court Thursday.
Noah was reported missing on May 15. About 11 hours later, police said his body was found in a pit of water in a Jesup, Georgia construction area.
His autospy report said Noah's cause of death was drowning and there was no evidence that was consistent with a fight, the sheriff's office said.
However, the sheriff's office said "due to information discovered" throughout its investigation, Noah's death was ruled a homicide.
"This finding was based on the fact that one of the two juveniles whom were with Noah pushed him into the deep portion of the borrow pit they were wading in," the release states.
The children's names were not released to the public by investigators due to their age.
Both children were charged with concealing the death of another person and criminal trespassing in connection to Noah's death. The 11-year-old child faces additional charges of involuntary manslaughter and simple battery, according to the sheriff's office.
The other child, who is ten, was sentenced to two years a youth detention center.
