UPDATE: Friday 4 p.m. | A suspect has been taken into custody and there are now five law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation into the now-four separate deaths in Camden County.
Police announced they arrested Alonzo Davis, 39, for pending charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine. Earlier Friday authorities stated the the multiple deaths may be linked to a powdery substance believed to be cocaine.
The agencies joining the investigation include the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the St. Marys Police Department, the Kingsland Police Department, the Camden County Sheriff's Office, and the Naval Criminal Investigative Services (NCIS).
The additional agencies got involved to determine the cause and if there is a connection between the deaths.
According to the GBI, autopsies and other lab exams are being conducted at the Savannah Crime Lab.

Law enforcement in Camden County is investigating multiple deaths with unexplained causes, saying it may be linked to a powdery substance believed to be cocaine, according to a press release by the District Attorney of the Brunswick Judicial Circuit.
Law enforcement is now looking into whether or not the substance contains more toxic or lethal drugs and may be the cause of other unexplained deaths in the area. They are also pursuing the suppliers of the substance for questioning.
They are also warning the public after it is believed that this substance was purchased by more people in Camden County.
Toxicology results are pending at the GBI crime lab in Savannah.
