GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — The Glynn County Police Department arrested a fugitive from Connecticut Monday evening after they received a tip that he would likely flee to his sister's apartment.
Jamel Rasheen Young had a national warrant out for his arrest on charges of sexually assault in the first degree, sexual assault in the fourth degree and attempted sexual assault in the first degree. Police in Naugatuck, Connecticut, alerted GCPD that he would likely flee to his sister's apartment in Glynn County.
GCPD stationed three officers inside the apartment. When Young arrived, they were able to arrest him.
Young is awaiting extradition to Connecticut.
