GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — A former Glynn County Police Department officer was arrested Friday after a domestic dispute, police say.
At approximately 8:42 a.m. Friday, police responded to an address on Galemist Court about a domestic dispute. When officers arrived, they made contact with 36-year-old John Brandeberry a former Glynn County Police officer and his wife, Glynn Police Department release said.
John Brandeberry was fired from the Glynn County Police Department on March 14.
Police said the victim contacted 911 after an alleged assault occurred within the home. As a result of the investigation Brandeberry was arrested and charged with battery and criminal trespassing.
He was taken to and later released to the Glynn County Detention Center.
A mugshot, a report and personnel file for Brandeberry has been requested.
