A patient with a gunshot wound was taken to the hospital by helicopter out of a Ponte Vedra neighborhood Wednesday night, the St. Johns County Fire Rescue has confirmed.

The shooting happened in the Walden Chase neighborhood in the parking lot of the community pool, near Nocatee.
