JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has involved in a shooting Thursday night.

A man was shot twice in the torso during a fight at 14036 Boney Road Thursday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. A suspect, 65-year-old Gary Eaker, is in custody.

Officers responded to the home just after midnight, where they found the 40-year-old victim shot in the stomach, a heavily redacted arrest report said.

A witness told officers she believed "the victim was drunk and was being loud and yelling about being upset with the suspect." The report said the victim was banging on their bedroom door and was shot soon after.

The victim was taken to the hospital. Police say his injuries are not life threatening.

The report said there had been a fight between the victim and another man inside of the home.

During the fight, the other man retrieved a handgun and shot the victim.

Violent crimes detectives are on the scene interviewing witnesses and canvassing for video surveillance. This is an ongoing investigation.
