This Snapchat led to a student's arrest, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office said.

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — A 16-year-old was arrested after sending a Snapchat reading, "I forgot to use setting spray I'm gonna shoot up the school," the Flagler County Sheriff's Office said in a press release.

On Friday, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office was notified by the Federal Bureau of Investigations that they had received a tip of a possible school shooting threat, based off the Snapchat.

The sender was identified as a 16-year-old student at Flagler Palm Coast High School, who will not be named here because of her age.

The school resource deputy at the school at the high school was notified and found the student. They ensured there were no weapons on campus, police said.

The student was arrested and charged for written/electronic threats to kill or bodily harm another person.

She was taken to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility for processing and released to her parents.

“The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office takes all threats seriously, especially ones made towards a school or its student body,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “Parents, once again, I implore you to be the sheriff in your home and talk to your kids. What a stupid comment to make because you forgot the spray to go over your makeup. Explain to them that stupid comments will get you arrested if you make a threat. We don’t like arresting your child, but we will ensure Flagler County students are safe. I want to thank the FBI for sending us the tip so our deputies could act swiftly and make an arrest.”
