FBI arrests Jacksonville man after death threats to multiple people, including children, indictment states

The FBI served a search warrant at the man's home Friday morning.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) served a search warrant at a Jacksonville home of a man accused of threatening to kill multiple people, including children, while using racist and antisemitic language.

According to a federal indictment, Nathaniel James Holmes was wanted on four counts of threatening to kill. The indictment said Holmes used racist and antisemitic language in at least two of the threats.

The indictment states that on Oct. 9, Holmes threatened to "kill victim one and stab victim one's '[explicit] [explicit] kids to death.'" On Oct. 10, the indictment accuses Holmes of threatening to murder another individual. And on Oct. 11, he is accused of threatening to kill one more.

Finally, on Oct. 16, the indictment states Holmes threatened to "kill Jewish and African American people."

The FBI arrived at Holmes' residence on Soaring Flight Way in Jacksonville to serve a warrant Friday at 10 a.m. According to an FBI spokesperson, Holmes barricaded himself initially but was eventually arrested at 1 p.m. after officials used gas to get him out.

A video shared to First Coast News shows FBI personnel remove Holmes from the residence.
