Danny Beard appeared in a courtroom packed with supporters of his ex-fiance Monday, and pleaded not guilty to charges he killed her.
The brief appearance was his first since his bond hearing, at which he winked at cameras stationed in the Jail courtroom.
Beard is accused of killing Navy Chief Petty Officer Andrea Washington in her Jacksonville home Sept. 17. She was set to appear in court that day on a restraining order against Beard. She told police he violently assaulted her and threatened her with a handgun days before.
