Documents reveal new details in Bridegan case, moments search warrant served at ex-wife's home

The documents also show that the man who pleaded guilty to being part of the murder plot, Henry Tenon, drove to places Bridegan frequented weeks before the murder.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Nearly two and a half years later, new details into the murder of Jacksonville Beach father Jared Bridegan continue to come to light. His ex-wife, Shanna Gardner, and her second husband, Mario Fernandez-Saldana, are accused of plotting to kill Bridegan and hiring a man named Henry Tenon to carry out the deadly shooting.

Tenon pleaded guilty to second degree murder in March 2023 and will testify against his co-defendants.

Documents revealing new details about the investigation into Bridegan's murder were released Thursday, including the day police served a search warrant at Gardner's house in Washington State in February 2023. She would eventually be arrested in August 2023 and has now been extradited to Jacksonville to stand trial.

Police served Gardner a federal search warrant for her home and car in West Richland, Washington. Documents show they detained her while they searched. Her mother and children were also in the home and were supervised by police during the search.

Upon arrival, police confiscated Gardner's Apple watch and took her iPhone.

The investigation report on the search says police told someone (whose name is redacted) they were looking for phones. Their response: "Like burner phones?"

One of the children told police his mom kept "important" electronics in her bedroom closet, the report says.

Police confiscated a Wingtech cell phone, an Acer laptop, a tablet, two Apple Macbooks and a T-Mobile sim card. The cell phone that was on Gardner and the watch were also taken into evidence.

The documents also show how police connected Henry Tenon to the shooting by tracking his car and his cell phone -- and reveal Tenon followed Bridegan before the night of the shooting. On January 29, 2022, 18 days before Bridegan was killed, Tenon was at the gymnastics gym where Bridegan's daughter took lessons. Later, the car was located in his neighborhood and then later in his neighborhood.

Previously released documents showed how Tenon was ensnared by his phone, bank and car records.
