Deputies looking for suspect accused of stealing over $50,000 in items from St. Johns County home

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said the suspect stole more than $50,000 in jewelry, handbags and a safe from a home in July.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is asking the community for help identifying a suspect accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of items from a residence in July.

Around 9 p.m. on July 24, deputies said a suspect went through the backyard of a residence in the Bishop Estates area, broke a window and entered the home while the owners were out of town.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video wearing a white ski mask and gray sweatshirt.

Deputies said the suspect stole more than $50,000 in jewelry, handbags and a safe from the home.

Investigators believe more than one suspect was involved in the burglary.
