Clay County 'white supremacist gang member' pleads guilty to drug, firearm charges: DOJ

Court documents show Danny Boree, 39, is a member of The Unforgiven, a "violent white supremacist gang," according to the Department of Justice.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A Clay County man faces a minimum of five years in prison after pleading guilty to drug and firearm charges, the Department of Justice announced in a release Friday.

Danny Boree, 39, of Keystone Heights is charged with intent to distribute five grams or more of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He's pleaded guilty to the charges, according to the DOJ.

Court documents show Boree is a member of The Unforgiven, a "violent white supremacist gang," the release states.

On June 8, 2023, a deputy with the Clay County Sheriff's Office pulled Boree over for a stop sign violation. The deputy noticed a meat cleaver in front of Boree along with a knife in a case by his feet, according to the release.

The deputy directed Boree to step out of the vehicle, observing a clear baggie in the waistline of his shorts. The DOJ said the baggie contained "a large amount of methamphetamine."

Law enforcement confiscated a pistol and methamphetamine found in Boree's possession, according to the DOJ.

After a search through Boree's vehicle, the sheriff's office found more methamphetamine and a pistol.

Boree has been convicted of 10 felonies in the state of Florida and was released from the Florida Department of Corrections in January 2023 for a previous firearm conviction.

He now faces up to 40 years in federal prison on the drug charge and up to 15 years for the firearm offense. A sentencing date has not yet been set.
