Bunnell police investigating drive-by shooting

A resident called 911 Wednesday morning, reporting multiple gunshots near Hymon Circle in Bunnell. Authorities have found the suspects' vehicle.

The Daytona Beach Police Department recovered the vehicle used in a drive-by shooting at a Bunnell home.

BUNNELL, Fla — Authorities in Flagler County are investing a drive-by shooting.

According to the Bunnell Police Department, officers and Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a 911 call from a resident about multiple gunshots around 12:22 a.m. near Hymon Circle. Investigators later found shell casings, a press release said.

Video of the incident was found showed two men parking a vehicle on Hymon Circle, police said, before they exited the vehicle and walked around a home. They returned to the car and fired into the home. Their gray SUV was identified and local law enforcement were notified.

The Daytona Beach Police Department found the vehicle parked in an apartment complex and handgun and ammunition inside the vehicle.

“We will not tolerate violence, and we will use all of our resources to identify those responsible and hold them accountable," Bunnell Police Chief David Brannon stated in a press release.  “Thank you to our law enforcement partners – Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly and Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young and your respective deputies and officers for the assistance provided to us.”
