The BCSO's post states that the 16-year-old sent a message through a social media platform stating that there would be a shooting at "several" schools in Baker County.

The post further states that school administrators and BCSO were made aware of the student's messages Wednesday and immediately an investigation began which resulted in the "swift arrest" of them.

"Detectives are continuing to investigate this matter and arrest ANYONE who threatens the safety of our children, staff, or law enforcement within the Baker County School District," the post states. "Sheriff Rhoden would like to emphasize that any threats or messages of a similar nature that are being disseminated for the purpose of causing fear, intimidation, or even as a 'joke' will be taken seriously and quickly dealt with according to the law."
