A Baker County little league parent and assistant coach has been accused of having lewd conversations with a teenage girl via Facebook, according to a report released Wednesday by the Baker County Sheriff's Office.

Timothy Weathers, 28, is facing multiple charges, including cruelty toward a child and obscene communication, after he allegedly used Facebook to send sexually explicit messages to a teenage girl back in May.

A detective responded on June 8 to reports that an adult man was sending inappropriate messages to a minor and spent two days posing as the 14-year-old girl to investigate the man's intentions. During the conversation, the detective said Weathers was aware that the account belonged to the teen.

Weathers would allegedly send messages to the account asking to "make out" and "fool around" while also demanding photos of the girl's chest, "booty," as well as pictures taken with the child's phone up her shirt.

Weathers did not receive pictures from the account, but he did send photos of himself completely nude, according to police. He also sent messages detailing that he wanted to have sex with the teen, asking if she was a virgin.

The detective, still posing as the teen, set plans with Weathers to meet at a residence on the evening of June 10. Weathers was allegedly under the impression that the meeting would be for sex or to engage in "inappropriate sexual actions."

Police made arrangements to intercept Weathers once he arrived to the location, however the suspect backed out at the last moment, saying he was afraid of "getting caught" with the girl.

Weathers turned himself in to authorities on June 12 after a warrant for his arrest was issued the day before.

He initially began messaging the minor back in May. In the messages, Weather asked the minor about her age and mentioned that her Facebook profile showed she was "almost 18."

The teenager mentioned that she was only 13 at the time, the report said, and made it clear to Weathers that she was not allowed to speak to adults who were not family.

After Weathers was blocked from the girl's Facebook profile, a family member unblocked the coach and Weathers almost immediately messaged the child to ask why he was unblocked.
