Alachua County Detention officer placed on leave following DUI arrest

The Alachua County Sheriff's Office has arrested one of their off-duty detention officers following a DUI arrest.

According to deputies, Bradley Provencher was arrested by the Clay County Sheriff's Office for driving under the influence. He was transported to the Clay County Jail and booked into that facility.

Deputies report, Provencher was hired in February of 2017 and is currently assigned to the Alachua County Sheriff's Office Department of the jail, in the Security Operations Division.

Provencher has been placed on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
