A violent weekend in Jacksonville sees multiple deadly shootings

On Friday, 27-year-old Nekecheana Phillips was shot and killed at 4621 Hunt St. in Lackawanna.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office had their hands full responding to multiple fatal shootings during a violent weekend in Jacksonville.

The latest reported fatal shooting happened Sunday afternoon when JSO said a man was shot and killed on Broadway Avenue in Lackawanna.

Hours later and less than a mile away, two people were shot at 800 Dennison St. but sustained non-life-threatening injuries, JSO says.

Saturday night, in Woodstock, a man in his mid-20s died after he was shot several times at 2800 Sophia Street, according to JSO.

Hours earlier in Julington Creek, deputies said a homeowner on Attrill Road shot and killed a man who was reportedly banging on the home's windows.

On Friday, 27-year-old Nekecheana Phillips was shot and killed at 4621 Hunt St. in Lackawanna. Phillips is the daughter of a JSO officer. JSO says her ex-boyfriend Eric Lamar, 27, shot Phillips multiple times after he was discovered hiding in her home.
