SATSUMA, Florida — Three people have been arrested following a reported drive-by shooting in Satsuma Sunday, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.

The shooting was reported on Quail Hollow Road, a post from the agency said. A deputy saw a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle described by witnesses. Two Crescent City men, Kevin Cook, 24, and Nathaniel Royal, 21, and a Palatka juvenile were arrested.

During a search of their vehicle, deputies discovered, a semi-automatic handgun, a Delta AR-15 short barrel rifle,  several bags of marijuana, a digital scale, clear baggies, a face mask and more than $11,000.

Witnesses told deputies that two of the passengers in the vehicle shot at them, the post stated. One witness said the vehicle drove past the residence, turned around and when they drove past again, passengers fired from the car. Cook and the juvenile were determined to be the two who had fired at the crowd, deputies said.

Cook, 24, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and discharging a firearm from a vehicle. He was taken to the Putnam County Jail and held without bond. Royal, 21, was charged with possession and intent to sell marijuana and later released from jail on a $2,500 bond.

The juvenile was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and discharging a firearm from a vehicle. He was taken to the Putnam County Jail and transferred to the department of juvenile justice.
