JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 15-year-old boy was one of three suspects arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office SWAT team during a drug bust Friday, according to newly-released arrest reports.
JSO responded to an apartment building on Southside Boulevard to serve a search warrant and arrested the boy (whose name will not be released due to his age), as well as Andres Felipe Mejia, 18, and Jacob Cain Thigpen, 22.
The 15-year-old's arrest report says JSO was monitoring his Instagram account for several days leading up to the drug bust.
His arrest report says police confiscated a firearm, firearm accessories, a Ziploc bag with less than 20 grams of marijuana inside and a "large bag" of marijuana from him. He faces two charges of possessing and concealing a short-barreled gun, rifle or machine gun, possessing less than 20 grams of marijuana, possessing marijuana with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver and possession of a firearm by a minor under 18.
Thigpen, 22, was charged with possession of a short-barreled gun, possessing more than 20 grams of marijuana and altering records, documents or physical evidence.
Mejia, 18, was charged with armed trafficking of codeine, two counts of armed trafficking in another controlled substance, four counts of armed possession of marijuana, armed possession of a controlled substance, armed possession of a controlled substance without prescription, possession of short-barreled gun, and possession of a short-barreled gun, rifle or machine gun.
