BAKER COUNTY, Fla.—A corrections deputy was arrested Friday for introducing contraband into a detention facility, deputies said.
Jason Barnett was placed on unpaid suspension pending termination proceedings and is being held on $25,000 bond, says a release from the Baker County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff Joey Dobson says that all members of the Sheriff's Office are saddened by the breach of public trust in this case. He adds that his office is still committed to the highest standard of integrity even though one of his corrections deputies broke the law.
