JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Have you noticed tents, trailers and cables strewn across Bay Street in Downtown Jacksonville? It might be on popular reality show Bar Rescue soon.
Businesses nearby Wildkat Records Bar & Grill located at 119 E. Bay St., confirmed with First Coast News that Paramount Network's Bar Rescue is filming there. The business has previously gone by Bay Street Bar & Grill.
Jacksonville businesses have two recent appearances on the show: Blue Water Daquiri & Oyster Bar on First Street in Jacksonville Beach, which featured rapper Lil Jon, and Fatballs Sports Bar on 103rd Street. Both have since closed.
The eighth season of the popular show finished airing in June. According to host Jon Taffer, the show began production for its ninth season last year.
Episodes involve Taffer, a longtime restaurant consultant, implements numerous changes a bar needs such as training staff, installing a new menu or renovating the interior. The episodes feature an epilogue on how the bar fared.
