LAKE CITY, Fla.—A Columbia County correctional officer was arrested Wednesday night and charged with two misdemeanors after beating and inmate and then not reporting it at the Columbia County Jail, authorities said.
Joshua Teems is charged with malicious battery on an inmate and failure to report use of force, according to his arrest warrant provided by the Florida Department of Corrections.
Deputies with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office arrested Teems and took him to the Columbia County Jail.
