BAKER COUNTY, Fla.—The mother and the father figure for 21-month-old toddler Lonzie Barton have been transferred to new holding facilities as they make their way through the Department of Corrections.
Baker County court records show Lonna and Chris Barton were sentenced in March for charges related to the sale of the synthetic drugs in September 2015.
Chris Barton entered a guilty plea for his charges and was sentenced to serve three years minus 203 days already served.
The Department of Corrections says Chris Barton will likely be released in August of 2018.
Court records show Lonna Barton was sentenced to nearly seven years in prison for charges unrelated to the disappearance of Lonzie.
Lonna was last reported to be at the Florida Women's Reception Center and is estimated to be released in September of 2027.
The Baker County Sheriff’s Office waited until after Lonzie’s funeral in order to move both parents to the Department of Corrections.
Lonna’s boyfriend, Ruben Ebron, will serve 20 years on multiple counts related to Lonzie's killing.
