ALACHUA COUNTY — A 40-year-old Hawthorne woman died in a single car crash early Wednesday on County Road 234, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Her Chevy Impala became airborne about 2:10 a.m. and landed on its roof, coming to a rest on the east shoulder of CR 234 near Northeast 7th Avenue.
FHP has confirmed that the crash is alcohol related.
