JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- JEA started giving fuel credits to customers Tuesday.
The JEA Board of Directors approved a refund of approximately $26 million of its fuel reserve to customers by providing a fuel charge credit on bills in July.
This credit for the average residential customer will be approximately $32. All customers, including residential and commercial, who have an active account in July will receive the credit.
This one-time fuel credit came from JEA's savings on fuel costs because the price of natural gas was lower than expected.
