JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Flooded bathroom floors and closets is what Leonard Schuler has been dealing with while living at Cedar Creek Villas apartments on Jacksonville's Westside.
As an elderly man who has to go to dialysis three times a week, he's simply wanting this ongoing issue to be resolved.
Schuler showed First Coast News the slew of text messages he has sent his apartment's maintenance man dating all the way back to Oct. 9.
“I say, 'Tony my house flooded again, Tony my house flooded again.'"
Schuler has only lived at the apartment complex for three months, and has been experiencing flooding in his bathroom since he moved in.
"This is what happens when I flush the toilet. I don't have anymore towels, we don’t have anymore towels," said Schuler in the videos of the flooding.
According to Schuler, he told his apartment's landlord about the issue and was informed by them that they would send someone out to fix his pipes.
Schuler walked us outside to show us the pipes. Then, a First Coast News crew walked to the leasing office where they asked his landlord what is being done to stop the flooding in his unit.
The landlord continuously told our crew, “no comment,” and informed Schuler to continue contacting the maintenance man if his bathroom floods.
“I just want all this here straightened out,” said Schuler.
