Meet one of Jacksonville's youngest entrepreneurs

Aubryn Williams is only 7 and starts 2nd grade later this month, but has big plans for his lemonade business.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The new school year for most students is right around the corner, but there's one soon-to-be 2nd grader who's already hard at work.

Aubryn Williams, 7, wants to mix his way to becoming a millionaire.

With more than a week before school starts, Aubryn is working at his day job mixing lemonade for Aubryn's Gourmet Lemonade.

But it's not like he's been mixing lemonade all of his life, just half of it.

"I've been making lemonade since I was 4," said Aubryn as he pours a glass of lemonade. "It's our secret mixture, I can't tell nobody about it."

Since he's only 7 years old, Aubryn lets his mom help him as his business partner and social media manager.

"It's just fun to see him grow and progress," says Aubryn's mom, Ashley Cross. "It's fun just seeing his business mind develop and seeing the community react to him."

And what do the customers say when they see him behind the counter?

"They say that they like it, and they say that I look handsome," said Aubryn.

Becoming Jacksonville's youngest entrepreneur started as a necessity.

"Me and my mom," recalled Aubryn. "When I was 4 we were going through hard times, and we needed to make money."

These days Aubryn says that he wants to be a millionaire. He even has his own business cards.

"I want to take it as far as we can," said Cross, "I want to see my baby's dream come true, I want to see him become a millionaire."

Ever the detail oriented business owner, Aubryn truly makes the business his.

"This is going to help him in life in general," said Cross. "At a young age just learning to have structure, learning to do stuff in an orderly manner and how to interact with people and the public."

Aubryn's Gourmet Lemonade will be at the Main Street Food Park Friday and will also have a stand at the Historical Springfield Summer Block Party on Saturday.
