The day kicks off with a commemorative Prayer Breakfast at Advent Lutheran Church, starting at 8 a.m. Monday. Attendees will have the honor of listening to the esteemed Dr. Leroy Zke Zimmerman, a Purple Heart Recipient and the author of "A Call to Share." The morning event is set to be a powerful blend of homage to Dr. King's impactful legacy and an opportunity for the community to unite in inspiration.

Afternoon Reflection - Memorial Observation at Oakleaf High School

As the day unfolds, the commemoration moves into the afternoon with a Memorial Observation at Oakleaf High School, commencing at 3 p.m. Dr. David L. Brewer III, a retired Vice Admiral from the United States Navy, will take the stage as the guest speaker. Expect a thought-provoking address that delves into the enduring impact of Dr. King's legacy.
