JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — When it comes to good old-fashioned barbecue and sauces, Darby Bradley has you covered.
Throughout the city of Jacksonville, he's known as the "Sauce Boss" because of his homemade barbecue sauces that are full of spice and flavor.
"I’ve been cooking all my life, I am a country boy at heart out of South Carolina... I know how to cook the chickens, the cow, the pig, I cook all that stuff," Bradley said.
His food truck, All Sauced Up, serves of some of the best tasting barbecue on the First Coast. Popular on the menu are the Sauce Boss Fries which come with your choice of meat and cheese and is then topped with homemade barbecue sauce.
"We have the Sweet Barbecue, which is really a pineapple mango-based sauce, and then I have my mustard base, because a lot of the Florida people love mustard base so I do have my Sweet and Tangy mustard, and I also have my buffalo, which is not too hot, but it gives you a good kick," Bradley said.
The jumbo-sized wings are also a hit and they’re guaranteed to leave you full and satisfied.
"They are cut wings, but they are full big wings, and we fry them until they are crispy and then you have your choice of sauce some people eat them plain but we do put our special seasoning on them," Bradley said.
The mouthwatering brisket sandwich is also a popular favorite.
"We’ll smoke that brisket for 14 to 18 hours, it’s good and tender, you don’t really need a knife at that point, you can just use a good fork and slice it," he said. "Once we put some sauce on it, we toast all of our buns and then put some brisket on it, and then we put some Sweet Barbecue Sauce on it and a side dish of mac and cheese."
