JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Summertime may have gotten sweeter in Jacksonville Beach.

The recently renovated Smoothie King at 1020 Third St. South was chosen as one of 10 sites in the country to help launch Smoothie King's new 'Smoothie Keg' this summer.

The world's leading smoothie brand, according to Smoothie King's website, wants you to "Rule The Day" as a news release states Smoothie Keg was created with the idea that customers can take home a Smoothie Keg and mix their favorite spirit with their smoothie.

Their idea is for cocktails to not only be "delicious," but "nutritious," too.

"Starting June 12th Smoothie King is offering a free Smoothie Keg with the purchase of a Smoothie Six-Pack, so you can say goodbye to six-packs of beer, cider, or seltzer," the release states.
