Jacksonville brewery helping Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian

Wicked Barley Brewing is joining forces with regulars who have family in the Bahamas.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Wicked Barley Brewing Company wants to help folks in the Bahamas affected by Hurricane Dorian with long-time regulars Elona and Charles Appleby. The Applebys have family in the Bahamas and even own a marina and restaurant in the Abacos Islands.

Hurricane Dorian's landfall on the island was devastating. The Applebys immediately wanted to help their friends and neighbors in the Bahamas and Wicked Barley Brewing offered to help.

Elona and Charlie Appleby, along with the rest of the Appleby family are organizing immediate assistance to the Bahamas by chartering private jets with supplies for rebuilding shelters, food and water, clothing, etc. They will be landing in Nassau today loading the supplies onto the boats and then boating to the Abacos Friday morning.
