JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville is getting another Chick-fil-A.

On Wednesday, the chain announced its new location will open next week on Atlantic Boulevard near the intersection of Kernan Boulevard.

The new location, stationed at 11909 Atlantic Blvd., is slated to open Tuesday, Nov. 26.

The company says the new location will bring around 120 full-time and part-time jobs to the community.

The restaurant will offer drive-thru and carry-out services and feature a Mobile Thru lane fully dedicated to orders placed through the Chick-fil-A app.

Melinda Sowers was selected to own and operate the new location, which will mark her second restaurant in Jacksonville. She runs Chick-fil-A's Atlantic and Hodges location, and she will continue to operate the restaurant alongside the new one.

The Atlantic and Hodges Chick-fil-A will temporarily close starting Thursday to rebuild the restaurant, the company said. It will reopen in the second quarter of 2025, pending any delays.

"I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue leading a team of passionate, dedicated individuals who make every day at Chick-fil-A special," Sowers said.

The new Chick-fil-A location will recognize 100 local heroes and Jacksonville-based organization Dreams Come True, which supports the dreams of children with life-threatening illnesses, with free entrées for a year.

The organization supported Sowers with her eldest son, a cancer survivor when he was diagnosed at 19 months old.

The new Chick-fil-A will operate from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
