Beloved mini donut shop set to close last location in Jacksonville

The closure comes less than two years after the closure of its Fleming Island and Jacksonville Beach locations.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Mini Bar, a beloved shop known for artisan mini donuts, is closing its last location this month.

On Wednesday, owners Brooke and Chase Sams took to social media to announce the closure of the shop's Gate Parkway-area location, which will mark its last day open on Nov. 24.

"A few weeks ago we were approached with an offer that we couldn't refuse," the owners wrote in a Facebook post. "We've loved the last 4 1/2 years that we've spent here, but this will allow us to explore new opportunities personally and for the brand."

The last shop, located at 10618 Deerwood Park Blvd., closure comes two years after the Fleming Island and Jacksonville Beach locations closed.

The owners opened their first location in Jacksonville Beach nearly seven years ago, debuting specialty mini donuts with unique flavors like Fruity Pebbles, Maple Bacon, Cosmic Brownie and more.

The new owner of the Gate Parkway location plans to convert and rebrand the space for a new concept that won't include The Mini Bar. It's still unknown what will replace the donut shop.

"We are forever grateful for your love and support! We look forward to seeing you, and reminiscing over these next two weeks," the owners wrote.
