A surprise guest made an appearance during the El Cheapo fishing tournament this past weekend.
A right whale peeked out of the water off the coast of St. Augustine during what has come to be known as the “Largest Sheepshead Tournament in the World”.
In 2018, scientists said they didn't see a single right whale calf and were worried about the future of these whales. This year, seven North Atlantic right whale calves have been spotted, a relief for many who had concerns they may be gone for good.
A Facebook user posted a few photos of the tournament-crashing whale and said that the whale made about seven jumps and put on a great show for spectators.
