Bethune-Cookman University's campus suffers 'significant weather damage'

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Hurricane Matthew has caused "significant weather damage" to Bethune-Cookman University's Daytona campus, the school announced on Saturday.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Hurricane Matthew has caused "significant weather damage" to Bethune-Cookman University's Daytona campus, the school announced on Saturday.

The university is assessing the damage and the campus will remain closed until at least Tuesday, October 12.

"We ask students, parents, faculty and staff to continue to check their emails and the Bethune-Cookman University website and/or [Facebook page] for updates prior to making any arrangments to return back [to] the campus," Bethune-Cookman said on its website.
