Jacksonville High School student rappels building for a cause

Amelia Acuff rappelled a 32 story building as a way to raise funds for a non-profit.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Fletcher High School student Amelia Acuff has dedicated her time to Give Kids the World Village, a non-profit helping terminally ill kids, and their families.

Acuff and more than 80 other volunteers raised more than $100,000 for the Over the Edge campaign. This will provide kids and their families with a weeklong vacation at no cost.  For the campaign, Acuff went down to Orlando and rappelled down the 32 stories Hyatt Regency Hotel.

As a kid herself, Acuff says she is thankful for the healthy and able to live a 'normal' life, the reason why she wants to help make other kids dreams come true,
