JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Jacksonville man has transformed his front yard into a Halloween wonderland. John Paredes says it took him two days to get the decorations up, and he isn't done yet. He will be adding smoke machines on Halloween evening.

As night falls, the yard takes on a whole new level of spookiness. The area is covered with skeletons, ghouls, and goblins that appear to be coming to life.

The eye-grabbing decorations and eerie lighting are a tradition for Paredes. This is his 10th year decorating his front yard for Halloween.

Paredes says he finds a lot of the decorations when people are throwing them out.

"Most of the time it's just stuff that just pops in my head and I go with it. Some things that I do store in my backyard are bulky and heavy, and I know I'll use every year," Paredes said. "Stuff for graveyards are easy to store. I have a garage that I store a lot of the skeletons in."

The ghoulish figures and skeletons strategically placed throughout the yard make it a captivating spectacle.

Paredes says he goes all out during Christmastime, too.

He asks neighbors to take a drive by the area at night if they find themselves on Bay Ridge Road on Jacksonville's Southside.
