Casey Black DeSantis is an Emmy Award winning television host who can be seen weekdays on NBC 12 and ABC 25.
Currently, Casey is the moderator, host, co-executive producer and co-creator of The Chat, a live talk show featuring three to four other women from the community. The Chat simulcasts on NBC 12 and ABC 25 from 3pm to 4pm Monday through Friday.
Additionally, Casey currently hosts First Coast Living, a magazine style talk show, from 11am until noon on NBC 12. First Coast Living re-airs at 2pm on NBC.
Before joining First Coast News, Casey worked for the PGA TOUR hosting and producing two shows: On The Tee, a live broadcast preceding Golf Channel coverage and PGA Tour Today, a daily recap of tournament play.
Before her stint at the PGA TOUR, she worked for WJXT-Channel 4 in Jacksonville. During her tenure at WJXT, Casey held various positions ranging from weekday morning anchor, police beat reporter, weekend evening anchor, general assignment reporter and associate producer.
Casey also hosted special reports such as "Protecting Your Identity" and primetime specials including "Stranger Danger" and "Real Life CSI," which earned her an Emmy nomination.
She also covered several military events, including deployments on the USS John F. Kennedy, an aircraft carrier, and the USS Florida, a nuclear powered submarine. Off-camera, Casey is a National Champion Equestrian and runner-up NCAA Champion.
Casey is married to Ron DeSantis, United States Representative for Congressional District 6 in Florida.
