Some parents are calling for home economics to be a required course again.

Over the decades, it's safe to say kids have been taught things in school that aren't always practical in life. 

While math, science, writing and reading are important skills, many argue children have no idea about nutrition, laundry, gardening, cooking and financial management. 

Here's the Buzz: Some parents are calling for Home Economics to be a required course again.
